Path of Great Mercy

“Mine is the path of the Great Mercy
The truth it is from a mouth that speaks of what the eye has seen”

Words of Mawlana Sidi Fakhreddin

Sidi Fakhreddin explain the above as follows:

Know my children that it is Allah who shows us the way and guides us to Him. Know too that for the masses, there are as many roads to Allah as there are people in this world (meaning that people are lost and try to blindly make their own way); yet, for the chosen few, there is only one way. This way is thus described in the Holy Quran: “ And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for they will lead you astray. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous” (The Cattle: 153).

This is then the only true way, the way of peace and compassion. The path, which the prophet (PBUH) has drawn, for us to follow.  All other ways are but illusions.

Mawlana Fakhreddin then goes on to describe the walk to Allah in those words:

“ Whoever seeks to reach the summit without His intervention will end up sinking in the abyss of his own imperfections instead. Try therefore to het close to him and to feel his presence all around you. This is the only way that the true mysteries of the spiritual realm will reveal themselves up to you.”

Hizb of the Sword

Hizb of the Sword About this Hizb, Sidi Fakhr al-Din (RA) said: "This is the highest praise of God there is." He mentioned that this invocation (Hizb) belonged to the Prophet (SAW), who  entrusted it to Imam Ali (S). He said in essence that the Messenger of God (SAW) dictated the Hizb to Imam Ali (KAW), who wrote with his own hand. When our master, Ali (SA) retired  (for the night,) a king of the jinn introduced himself secretly and grabbed Imam Ali’s copy .... Why did he do this? The answer can be found in the same circumstances that led the Prophet (PBUH) to teach this hizb to Imam Ali. The Prophet ordered the latter to fight the jinn at the  well of Alamayn. The case was so serious in the eyes of the Prophet (SAW) that he asked the angel Gabriel to bring him the Hizb of the Sword (al-Hizb al Saifi). After receiving it, he taught it to Imam Ali. He named the Hizb, “Hizb Yamani”, i.e. the Hizb that is like a shield that we hold in our rig...
