Temporary Interruption of the Qasaids (Poems)
Part One

Many have wondered about the meaning of the following verses by Mawlana Sidi Fakhreddin; which have seen the day on December 4th, 1985:
Till the time of my choosing my gifts shall you receive
Conditions there are that shall still need to be met
From the fountain of my words may you drink and learn
And let your hearts uncover what secrets they may yield
Mysteries I have hidden therein for you to discover
That From among you a nation there shall be
That my wisdom shall study for the whole world to see
Of this Nation shall my children be Imams
To the world shall you then this knowledge spread
Seekers of the Truth through them my path shall find
Then shall my gifts resume and further bounties you shall receive.
Mawlana Sidi Fakhreddin tells us here of the reasons for the arrival of the Qasaids, which are his gift to us. However, there are also reasons why the flow of Qasaids should be temporarily interrupted. Mawlana then goes on to say that this temporary interruption in the Qasaids shall be lifted whenever he feels that the condition for the resumption have been met.
The first reason why Mawlana has stopped sending us new qasaids, is to allow us to study and understand that which we already have. First we need to go to the source (Sharab al Wasl) and “drink,” or read the verses not just with our eyes, but also with our hearts. We should feel the spiritual benefits thereof. Mawlana says that, there are secrets in those Qasaids that he has chosen to keep hidden for us to uncover.
The second reason for the interruption is for us to form a broad group, which Mawlana refers to as a “Nation”. The task of this single, united, cohesive group would be to cooperate in a spirit of brotherhood, in a quiet peaceful place and present to the rest of us with one single record of all its findings. This single document would contain a comprehensive interpretation of the qasaids and their mysteries. As this group starts its work, Mawlana himself will be guiding its efforts. However, this is something, which to this day we have not managed to accomplish. In fact, it has been thirty years since Mawlana gave us these instructions and not one single central study group has emerged. We still do not have one central authority that has dedicated itself to the task of studying the works of Mawlana, let alone to producing a single comprehensive compilation of its findings. What we have instead are isolated efforts by mostly well-meaning individuals that produce and publish their limited findings on social media.
The third condition to the lifting of the ban on new qasaids is then the production of a single record. Once produced, this document shall be the main source of knowledge for the entire Tariqa, of whom Mawlana’s sons (Mawlana Sheikh Ibrahim and Mawlana Sheikh Mohammad,) would be the only Imams.
Once the qasaids have been interpreted and their mysteries compiled in a single document, messengers shall be sent far and wide to spread this knowledge. And then the mystery of those words shall work its own magic and attract to the Tariqa Burhaniya all seekers of the Truth.
These are then the conditions that need to be met in order for the gift of the qasaids to resume.
